About Us
Classes began in St Helens, Merseyside March 2022 and since day one sessions have been growing in numbers .
Belly dance classes offer a low impact fitness session which is colourful and fun and designed for any member whatever your level of dance experience.
Over the years Starry Eyed Belly Dance has brought together 100’s of women to celebrate the joy and art of this beautiful dance.
A session typically lasts an hour where you will have the opportunity to be introduced to belly dance isolations, practice technique and work on choreography.
Dance, technique and combos are carried using authentic Middle Eastern music and drum beats so you get a real opportunity to experience the music on your body.
Lyndsey’s tag line for her Starry Eyed classes is to “ spread the sunshine” Her main goal for her classes is that women have fun and take a break from the world . She wants students to feel motivated, fluid and happy.
Belly dance movements are danced from the inside and out as you start to feel a connection with yourself you will wake up the goddess woman inside and soon be shimmying and shining. Lyndsey has heard so many excuses from women who desperately want to belly dance but their head talks them out of it . In Lyndsey’s classes you are reminded to dance from the heart, no judgment just joy.
Lyndsey had built has built a strong community for her starry eyed students and like minded women and this has beamed out over St Helens and across Merseyside.
Lyndsey does like to challenge her students and offers opportunities for public performances. Although there is never any pressure to perform the starry eyed dancers have performed at the Theatre Royal , Carmel College , The Prescot and Rainhill Gala, Care homes and festivals. And over the years have traveled to London to perform at The Dance Body Mind Belly Dance Show and WOWfest in Kent.
